Job summary

Sterling St James Inc. seeks a Lead Automation Maintenance Technician to support Allen-Bradley and Siemens PLCs at a Greater Milwaukee, WI facility. You will diagnose automated lines, service robotics, and maintain electrical systems up to 480V, enabling high uptime.

Qualifications

• 3+ years hands-on maintenance in high-speed production environments.
• Experience diagnosing PLC I/O, faults, and control logic.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose automated production lines to keep lines and robots running efficiently.
• Interface with Allen-Bradley or Siemens PLCs to trace faults and clear stoppages.
• Interpret electrical schematics and mechanical drawings for repairs and PM sequences.
• Maintain fluid power systems including pneumatics and valves.
• Service AC/DC drives and power distribution up to 480V, including VFDs.
• Perform light fabrication and welding to modify or repair equipment.
