Job summary
A global engineering firm is seeking a Senior Automation / I&C Engineer to support the design and delivery of Building Management Systems (BMS) and Distributed Control Systems (DCS) for pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities. The role provides technical leadership, ensuring compliance with regulatory and GMP requirements. Candidates must possess a bachelor's degree and relevant experience, ideally in pharmaceutical utilities. Strong leadership and engineering skills are essential, with a focus on BMS/DCS solution delivery.
Qualifications
Requires bachelor's degree and 8-10 years of relevant experience or 12-14 years of relevant work experience.
Demonstrated strong frontline leadership skills and emphasis on continuous improvement.
Prior experience in planning and executing greenfield or brownfield projects in pharmaceutical market.
Responsibilities
Lead BMS/DCS system architecture and design.
Provide technical leadership for pharmaceutical utility systems.
Ensure systems meet GMP, regulatory, and intended-use requirements.
Work closely with customers to develop and deliver BMS/DCS.
Provide engineering support for Functional Safety Lifecycle activities.
Skills
Knowledge of HAZOP, HAZID, and LOPA studies
Knowledge of pharmaceutical utility systems
Knowledge of instrumentation and control valves
Knowledge of control system design
Strong frontline leadership skills
Ability to facilitate technical discussions
Experience in planning greenfield or brownfield projects
Licensed Professional Engineer (PE)
Education
Bachelor's degree (or international equivalent)
