Job summary

Bill Brown Ford is seeking a Flat Rate Technician to diagnose and repair vehicles to dealership and factory standards. You will inspect, test, and diagnose a range of engine and vehicle systems, ensuring repairs meet quality and safety standards.

Responsibilities include communicating with service advisers, writing work orders, and maintaining a clean, organized shop while adhering to attendance and ethics standards. ASE certification is preferred and training opportunities are available.

Responsibilities

• Perform vehicle inspections, troubleshooting, and testing to determine repairs
• Diagnose malfunctions and perform repairs including engine and systems
• Assess vehicle to determine further safety or service work
• Verify serviceability and ensure quality repairs on first attempt
• Keep customer vehicles clean during repair
• Contain costs by using warranty and evaluating options
• Communicate with Service Advisor/Dispatcher for additional work
• Assist Service Writer with work orders and test rides
• Maintain stock and order parts as needed
• Maintain clean and organized shop area
• Document all work on repair orders
• Follow attendance, ethics, confidentiality, professional appearance
• Attend pertinent training and company meetings
• Other duties as assigned
