Job summary

CNC Auto Repair seeks a lead service technician to mentor a team, perform advanced diagnostics, and guide complex repairs on diverse vehicles. The role requires leadership, strong diagnostic skills, and a passion for automotive excellence.

The candidate will supervise technicians, coordinate repairs and inspections, and ensure safety and quality standards while delivering outstanding customer service. Salary ranges from $50k to $75k DOE.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience as an automotive technician, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
• Proficiency in automotive diagnostics, repair procedures and vehicle maintenance.
• Strong knowledge of automotive systems and troubleshooting techniques.
• Excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of automotive technicians, ensuring high-quality repairs and services.
• Perform complex diagnostics and repairs on a wide range of vehicles, including engines, transmissions, brakes, electrical systems, and HVAC systems.
• Oversee the completion of vehicle inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs in a timely manner.
• Ensure the team follows proper procedures for safety, cleanliness, and vehicle handling.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in the service department.
• Provide training and technical guidance to junior technicians.
• Manage repair orders, ensuring accuracy and budget compliance.
• Communicate with service advisors and customers regarding issues and needed maintenance.
• Assist with inventory management and ordering of necessary parts.
• Maintain a high standard of customer service and satisfaction.
