Job summary

Advance Auto Parts Inc. is seeking a General Manager to inspire the team, support customers, and grow the business with integrity. This role demands expertise in store and automotive systems, parts knowledge, and DIY/Professional customer service.

It is a full-time exempt position with long hours, including nights and weekends as needed. The GM will drive sales, manage relationships, recruit and develop staff, and ensure inventory and operations meet standards.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years managing a team of 10–20 in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in business or related field preferred.
• ASE certification not required but a plus.

Responsibilities

• Achieve overall store sales goals and service objectives.
• Manage and grow Professional Customer relationships and sales; hold team accountable to Customer action plans.
• Lead hiring, development, performance mgmt, coaching, scheduling and engagement of store team members.
• Ensure execution of inventory and operational standards.
• Coach team to meet Customer expectations (DIY and Professional).
• Handle on-duty manager duties: coaching, floor and phone management, task assignment, safety, opening/closing.
• Lead change management and foster a diverse, respectful environment.
