Who You Are

You’re a Master-level technician providing leadership, technical expertise, and direction to shop personnel, with a focus on exceptional customer satisfaction in a cost-effective manner. You are confident with your tools and skilled at repairing and restoring vehicles. You have a friendly, easygoing personality, enjoy working with a team, and take care in your driving. You value training opportunities to improve your skills.

What You Will Do

You will maintain and repair vehicles for the Cox Communications Fleet, delivering exceptional service to customers. Responsibilities include:

  • Performing preventive maintenance and repairs, including advanced diagnostics.
  • Performing repairs on various systems based on certification levels.
  • Maintaining shop cleanliness and safety standards.
  • Creating and maintaining vehicle records and up-fitting new vehicles.
  • Performing complex repairs, diagnostics, design, and fabrication.
  • Coordinating with vendors for parts and repairs, and providing roadside assistance as needed.
  • Engaging in equipment design, moderate fabrication, and welding.
  • Troubleshooting and repairing hydraulic, electrical, hybrid, and onboard systems.
  • Diagnosing, repairing, and replacing automotive parts and accessories across various vehicle types.
  • Supervising shop productivity, providing work direction, and training staff.
  • Ensuring safety, compliance, and quality control.
  • Managing inventory, tools, and shop resources.
  • Leading by example, fostering team morale, and upholding company policies.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma/GED + 7 years’ experience, or a related degree/certification with 5 years’ experience, or 9 years’ experience.
  • Master Level ASE certification preferred.
  • Ability to drive various vehicles, work safely, and perform physical tasks.
  • Experience with diesel, transmissions, and complex repairs preferred.
  • Ability to work on multiple vehicle applications and perform extensive training and certification.
  • Good organizational, interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills.
  • Must pass DOT background, physical, and MVR review, and hold a valid driver’s license.
