Job summary

Puget Collision in Poulsbo, WA seeks an experienced Painter to manage all paint operations for vehicle collision repairs. You will supervise the paint prepper team, ensure daily production schedules, and maintain high QA standards for color matching and finish quality.

The role requires overseeing equipment/space in the paint area, extending hours as workload demands, and ensuring safety and PPE compliance in a fast-paced shop environment.

Qualifications

• I-CAR Gold Class and ASE certification is a plus.
• Complete understanding of all facets of paint application for automobile collision repair.
• Ability to manage paint technician helpers, equipment, and workspace.

Responsibilities

• Manage all paint operations at the center.
• Supervise paint prepper team, including recruiting/hiring and disciplinary action with Center Leader.
• Participate in establishing goals for the paint team and administer training accordingly.
• Ensure paint production schedule as designated by Center Leader each day.
• Inspect quality of repairs from Body Department and final paint quality before vehicle moves to detailing.
• Ensure a clean, organized work area and monitor PPE usage and safety compliance.
• Maintain a safe flow of vehicles in and out of the Paint department.
