Job summary

Top Echelon Software, LLC seeks a Senior Audit Manager to lead assurance engagements in its Latham, NY office. The role offers autonomy, leadership exposure and opportunities for growth toward Principal or Partner, with a direct hire arrangement.

The successful candidate will manage engagements, review financial statements, and mentor staff while ensuring adherence to US GAAP and GAAS standards. Travel is expected within the Capital Region as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.
• Active CPA license strongly preferred.
• Progressive public-accounting audit experience.
• Current or previous Audit Manager or Senior Audit Manager title preferred.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and GAAS.
• Experience managing engagements and reviewing financial statements and workpapers.
• Demonstrated client-management and staff-development experience.
• Strong communication, judgment and organizational skills.
• Willingness to work regularly from the Latham office.
• Capital Region residency or willingness to relocate.

Responsibilities

• Plan and manage audit and assurance engagements.
• Review financial statements, workpapers and supporting documentation.
• Ensure compliance with professional standards and firm quality requirements.
• Manage engagement schedules, staffing, budgets and client expectations.
• Serve as a primary contact for audit clients.
• Identify accounting, reporting and internal-control issues.
• Review staff work and provide technical guidance.
• Coach and develop employees.
• Coordinate engagements across multiple offices.
• Provide a consistent leadership presence in the Latham office.
• Support client growth and broader firm initiatives.
