Job summary

Coeur Mining, Inc. in Chicago seeks a Lead Internal Audit, Automation and Analytics to modernize the IA function with sustainable analytics, AI-enabled capabilities, and automated control testing across SOX and operational audits.

The role combines audit expertise with data analytics and governance of AI-enabled processes, requiring collaboration with IT, Finance, Risk, and process owners while coaching team members and advancing continuous monitoring initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or related field.
• CPA, CISA, CIA, or equivalent certification preferred.
• Minimum of 5–6 years of progressive internal audit experience.
• Experience in Internal Audit, SOX compliance, external IT audit, data analytics, or technology-enabled assurance.
• Strong understanding of SOX/ICFR, COSO, and risk-based audit methodologies.
• Experience with Oracle ERP data modules (GL, AP, AR, Procurement, Inventory, FA, HR/Payroll).

Responsibilities

• Develop AI-enabled and automation-driven audit solutions.
• Design automated SOX control testing routines across financial reporting processes.
• Support operational risk-based audits via data analytics and continuous monitoring.
• Integrate analytics outputs into AuditBoard workflows, SOX testing, and reporting.
• Build a reusable library of audit analytics, automated scripts, dashboards, and testing logic.
• Collaborate with IA leadership to identify high-value automation opportunities across SOX and operations.
• Coordinate with IT, Finance, Risk, and process owners to obtain data and support remediation.
• Establish governance over audit automation including documentation, change control, and evidence retention.
• Enhance continuous auditing and monitoring across Procure-to-Pay, Financial Close, Inventory, Payroll.
• Assist with SOX walkthroughs, testing, deficiency evaluation, and control optimization.
• Promote responsible AI use with human reviews and confidentiality safeguards.
• Train IA team on analytics, Tableau dashboards, and data-driven techniques.
