About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Lead Audio‑Video Installation Technician with experience installing and troubleshooting commercial AV systems. This role is ideal for someone who can lead projects in the field, mentor junior technicians, and ensure high‑quality installations from start to finish. Projects range from simple conference room setups to fully integrated commercial building systems. This position is primarily field‑based, supporting projects throughout the Greater Hampton Roads and Richmond areas.

What You’ll Do

• Lead and oversee commercial AV installation projects
• Train and mentor junior technicians onsite
• Coordinate with sales engineers, project teams, clients, and contractors
• Install, configure, and troubleshoot AV systems and infrastructure
• Ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to client expectationsMaintain professional communication and strong customer service throughout installations

Required Experience & Skills

• AV Installation & Technical Expertise
• 5+ years of experience installing and troubleshooting commercial audio/video systems
• 3+ years leading AV installations or supervising technicians
• Experience with:
  • Flat panel displays

  • 25/70‑Volt audio systems

Qualifications

• Own basic industry tools
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Ability to pass a background check and obtain DCJS licensing
