The Lead Attendant coordinates and directs the daily activities of Environmental Services Attendants. They are responsible for moving, transporting, and handling hazardous waste within the facility. The role models appropriate behavior aligned with the MLH Mission, Vision, and Values.

Responsibilities
  1. Assist in supervising and coordinating assignments for associates.
  2. Ensure continuity of quality service in the absence of the supervisor.
  3. Move, transport, and handle hazardous waste within the facility.
  4. Assist with controlling the usage of supplies and chemicals.
  5. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Education/Formal Training: Not specified

Work Experience: 1-3 years in housekeeping or environmental services

Skills and Abilities
  • Ability to perform basic arithmetic, read, and follow written instructions.
  • Knowledge of housekeeping activities.
  • Demonstrable leadership potential.
  • Good working relationships with coworkers.
  • Ability to prioritize, coordinate tasks, and manage workflow.
Supervision

The Lead Attendant explains and demonstrates policies and procedures to new and current associates.
