We are looking for an Lead Atlassian Apps Architect & Engineering Manager to join our team to partner with cross-functional teams across the company and provide technical and leadership support for our team members.
About You:
- Experience Level: Lead
- Proven experience leading engineering teams (e.g., 3+ years as EM or Tech Lead)
- 6+ years of hands-on software development experience
- Strong knowledge of React, Typescript, Terraform
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Track record of shipping complex software projects
- Lead and mentor a team of engineers, supporting career development and technical growth.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Design, and other stakeholders to define priorities and deliver quality features.
- Drive engineering execution: sprint planning, code reviews, delivery timelines, and quality assurance.
- Foster a healthy team culture that emphasizes ownership, accountability, and psychological safety.
- Recruit, onboard, and retain top engineering talent.
- Set and uphold high standards for code quality, testing, and system reliability.
- Support the team in solving complex technical challenges and unblocking progress.
- Align engineering initiatives with company objectives.
- Own incident response and improve engineering operations and incident retrospectives.
- Experience in a fast-paced small team
- Experience with DevOps, serverless architecture, and data architectures
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies
- Prior hiring and performance management experience
- 2+ years of hands-on experience with Atlassian Forge platform development and deployment
- Leading, mentoring, and coaching both clients and Modus teammates from the comfort of home.
- Deep diving into customer needs and translating them into actionable requirements.
- Exploring new tech and continuously learning—because software is always evolving!
- Sharing your knowledge and participating actively in the community.
- Overlap with some EST hours daily is expected.
- Reliable high-speed internet is a must!
