Job summary

Cognito Systems, a joint venture with PSI, seeks a Lead Athletic Trainer to join the Army’s H2F program at Fort Bragg, NC, to lead clinical and performance initiatives for Soldiers. You will work within interdisciplinary teams to optimize readiness, injury reduction, and performance outcomes.

The role requires CAATE‑accredited education, BOC certification, and an unrestricted license, with five years of athletic training experience in active populations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from CAATE‑accredited program and Master’s in related field.
• Passing score from the BOC for Athletic Trainer and NPI.
• Unrestricted state license/registration in 49 states/DC/PR/Guam/USVI.

Responsibilities

• Lead Brigade Athletic Trainer and advisor on acute care and performance.
• Coordinate with Brigade H2F teams to support training programs.
• Educate Soldiers and leadership within AT scope aligned with training calendar.
• Prepare AT overview brief for new Soldier processing.
• Ensure equipment safety, track supplies, and report deficiencies.
• Attend meetings with Brigade leadership and participate in program reviews.
• Prepare and submit reports as requested by program directors.
• Participate in inter-team meetings with H2F and medical personnel.
• Maintain documentation and monthly status reports in a timely manner.
