Job summary

WellHaven Animal Hospital in Tumwater, WA is seeking a skilled DVM to lead clinical care and mentor staff. You will maintain high-quality medical standards and accurate patient charts while upholding WellHaven protocols.

Collaborate with the Principal Doctor to set development plans, ensure exceptional client service, and manage day-to-day operations onsite. This role requires flexibility for long shifts, evenings, and weekends, with a strong commitment to ethics and safety.

Qualifications

• DVM/ VMD or equivalent required.
• State Veterinary Board License is required.
• USDA Accreditation is a plus.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and long shifts, including Saturdays, evenings, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Ensure high-quality veterinary care and exceptional client service.
• Oversee hospital operations and staff to meet practice goals.
• Collaborate with the Principal Doctor on development plans.
• Maintain thorough medical charts and accurate records.
• Communicate with clients in person, by phone, and by email.
• Lead and train support staff and ensure compliance with WellHaven protocols.
• Adhere to DEA and OSHA safety standards and regulations.
