Job summary

Terumo Neuro is seeking a senior production assembler to perform the assembly or sub-assembly of medical devices under limited supervision, following manufacturing documents and guidance from line leads and supervisors.

You will record build data, identify issues, coordinate with engineers and technicians, support continuous improvement, train others, and act as production lead when needed while maintaining a safe, compliant work environment.

Responsibilities

• Follow manufacturing instructions to assemble products.
• Record data associated with the building of products on build records.
• Recognize problems and interface with technicians, engineers or supervisor to find a solution.
• Identify continuous improvement opportunities.
• Work with engineers and supervisors on special assembly requests.
• Assist production lead with day-to-day production issues including staffing, materials, and equipment status.
• Follow quality, compliance and company policies and procedures.
• Understand operations objectives and collaborate to achieve production goals.
• Learn and maintain knowledge to perform majority of manufacturing processes.
• Train other assemblers on certified procedures as directed by lead/supervisor.
• Act as a production lead as needed.
• Provide associate performance feedback to lead and supervisor.
• Meet performance standards using time and resources efficiently.
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment.
• Comply with laws, regulations and Quality Management System; demonstrate ethics and integrity.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Job description

Perform the assembly or sub-assembly of medical devices and products in a senior level position under limited supervision from line leads and supervisors in accordance with manufacturing documents. Assist the lead and supervisor in coordinating production activities.

• Identify continuous improvement opportunities.
• Work with engineers and supervisors to perform special assembly requests.
• Assist the production lead in addressing day-to-day production issues including staffing needs, material availability, and equipment status.
• Follow all related quality, compliance, and company policies and procedures.
• Understand operations objectives and work with team members to achieve overall production goals.
• Responsible for learning and maintaining knowledge and skills to perform majority of the manufacturing processes successfully.
• Train other assemblers on certified manufacturing procedures as directed by the lead and supervisor.
• Act as a production lead as needed.
• Provide associate performance feedback to lead and supervisor.
• Meet all performance standards and metrics by using time and resources efficiently.
• Maintain safe and clean working environment by keeping work area in a neat and organized manner.
• Comply with applicable Laws and Regulations, adhere to Quality Management System processes and requirements as well as demonstrate Ethics and Integrity in all matters and at all levels throughout the organization.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
