Job summary

Envirotest, a subsidiary of Opus Inspection, seeks a Second Assistant Manager in Annapolis, MD to manage day-to-day operations at the emission testing station and lead the team to ensure a smooth, friendly testing experience.

The role involves opening/closing the facility, supervising lane operations, training new inspectors, and ensuring clear communication with customers about testing procedures and results. This is a full-time, non-exempt position located on-site.

Responsibilities

• Assist with opening and closing facility.
• Conduct emission tests on customer vehicles.
• Oversee lane operations by monitoring traffic flow and wait times.
• Perform system overrides and troubleshoot issues as needed.
• Assist in the training and mentoring of new lane inspectors through the onboarding process.
• Clearly communicate to customers to explain the testing process and test results.
• Report safety concerns, policy violations, or suspicious activity to the Station Manager.
• Creating a clean and professional environment to keep our station clean and welcoming.
