Job summary

The Douglas Judicial Circuit is seeking an Assistant District Attorney Team Lead, based in Douglasville, GA, to grow their career and impact the community. The role emphasizes leadership, mentoring, and handling serious cases within the Atlanta metropolitan area.

As Team Lead, you will review felony files, direct investigations, evaluate charges, negotiate plea recommendations, and conduct jury trials while supporting colleagues and collaborating with investigators and victim witness advocates.

Qualifications

• Approximately 3-5 years of prosecution experience.
• Strong courtroom advocacy and trial experience.
• Demonstrated leadership, sound judgment, and excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Reviews felony case files and directs investigations as needed, evaluating evidence for charges.
• Negotiate plea agreements and handle all phases of prosecution including jury trials.
• Maintain an active caseload and ensure timely progression through court system.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to Assistant District Attorneys within the team and collaborate with investigators and victim witness advocates.
