Job summary

Eaton’s Electrical Power Systems Division is seeking a Lead Assembler for the 3rd shift at our Waukesha, WI facility. The role includes welding aluminum and copper leads, wiring for single and three-phase transformers, and assembling accessories. Overtime may be required.

A $3,000 sign-on bonus is offered, paid in two installments. The position requires a high school diploma or GED and the ability to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Position and shape leads for proper clearance within the tank.
• Mig welds laminated leads to bus bar as part of assembly.
• Brazes, welds, or crimps secondary leads to coil and connects components.
• Assembles and hooks up dual voltage switches, tab changers, and other accessories.
• Reads blueprints and schematics to guide work.
• Performs minor coil repair as needed.

The hours for this shift are 11pm - 7am. Must take into consideration the positioning, clearances, etc. required for tanking.· Fits, and cuts wood braces for secondary and primary leads, including layout, and bolts onto core and coil frame.· Measures and cuts leads to proper lengths. Measures, cuts, strips, insulates and crimps terminals on other required leads.· Minor coil repair, as needed caused by handling, etc.· Read Blueprints & Schematics.Qualifications:Required (Basic) Qualifications:• A high school diploma or GED (General Education Degree)• The ability to work in the United States on an ongoing basis without company sponsorship is required.• No relocation is being offered for this role. All candidates considered must live within 50 miles of the Waukesha, WI facility.
