Job summary

Florida Coastal Paving is seeking an experienced Paving Foreman to lead and oversee daily asphalt paving operations in the field. You will direct crews, coordinate equipment and materials, and ensure work meets project specifications and quality standards.

The ideal candidate has hands-on paving experience, strong field leadership, and the ability to manage crews and equipment in a fast-paced construction environment.

Qualifications

• Previous asphalt paving experience required.
• Previous experience as a Paving Foreman, Lead Operator, or similar field leadership position strongly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of asphalt paving operations, equipment, production methods, and quality standards.
• Experience directing paving crews and coordinating manpower, equipment, materials, and trucking.
• Ability to read and understand project plans, specifications, grades, and job requirements.
• Ability to identify and resolve field problems while maintaining production and quality.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to operate paving and heavy construction equipment when needed.
• Strong commitment to workplace safety and quality workmanship.
• Ability to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and overtime based on project schedules.
• Ability to travel to various job sites as required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise paving crews during daily field operations.
• Assign responsibilities to operators, laborers, and other crew members based on project needs and daily production goals.
• Provide clear direction to crew members and ensure employees understand their responsibilities and expectations.
• Coordinate daily paving activities including jobsite preparation, asphalt placement, grading, rolling, compaction, and cleanup.
• Monitor crew performance and productivity throughout the workday.
• Train and mentor crew members on proper paving techniques, equipment operation, safety procedures, and company expectations.
• Maintain a professional and productive work environment while holding crew members accountable for performance and safety.
• Assist with paving and equipment operation as necessary to maintain production.
