Callanan Industries, Inc. is seeking a Paving Foreperson to lead a union paving crew on roads, runways and related sites. You will ensure safety, efficiency, and adherence to contract specs while directing equipment operation and daily reporting.

The role requires at least 5 years as a paving foreman, strong knowledge of asphalt methods, and the ability to read plans. Prevailing wage of $80–$100 per hour is offered with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years as an asphalt paving foreman.
• Knowledge of asphalt paving methods, materials and equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret project plans, specs, grades, and staking information.
• OSHA safety standards and regulation familiarity.
• Ability to lead union employees professionally.

Responsabilités

• Lead and supervise union paving crews on asphalt paving, milling, grading and related roadway construction.
• Plan, organize, and coordinate daily work assignments to meet production and quality goals.
• Direct crew in safe operation of paving equipment and construction machinery.
• Ensure work complies with project specs, safety regulations and collective bargaining agreements.
• Conduct daily job site safety meetings and enforce OSHA, DOT and company safety requirements.
• Monitor asphalt placement, compaction, grade and workmanship quality.
• Coordinate material deliveries, equipment use and labor resources for efficiency.
• Communicate progress with Project Managers, Superintendents and customers.
