Job summary

Reeves Construction Company in Duncan, SC seeks an Asphalt Paver Screed Operator focused on safety and quality of asphalt mat. The successful candidate will adjust screed height, ensure proper depth and finish, and help maintain ride quality across the finished pavement.

Responsibilities include setting up the screed, leading crew members, and maintaining equipment. The role requires 18+ years, a HS diploma or equivalent, 1–3 months of construction experience, and ability to work day or night

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred, but not required.
• 1–3 months of work-related experience and/or training.
• Day or night shifts available.
• Provide own transportation to and from work.
• Driving license preferred.
• Must have legal right to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Set up paver screed and lay a uniform thickness.
• Maintain correct screed speed and material flow for straight lines.
• Take a leadership role on the crew.
• Keep paver and screed clean and maintained.
• Be willing to work nights and weekends.
• Operate equipment safely and consistently.
