The ideal candidate has 3+ years in asphalt milling or heavy highway construction, with strong leadership and a hands-on approach to milling equipment, grade control, and DOT compliance.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in asphalt milling, paving, or heavy highway construction.
• Experience leading crews or acting in foreman/supervisory capacity.
• Working knowledge of milling equipment.
• Understanding of roadway construction, grades, and surface prep.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage daily milling operations on roadway and asphalt projects
• Supervise crews, operators, and subcontractors to maintain production goals
• Coordinate milling equipment, trucking, and site logistics
• Plan sequencing and traffic control to ensure efficient workflow
• Monitor milling depth, grade, and surface quality to meet specifications
• Enforce safety standards and ensure compliance with DOT requirements
• Track daily production, equipment utilization, and field reporting
• Communicate with paving teams and project stakeholders to stay on schedule
