Coveredbridgemontessori in Smyrna, Georgia is seeking an experienced art curriculum designer to develop and implement innovative art programs for preschool and elementary students. Candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree in Art or a related field and two years of teaching experience.
The role requires fluency in simplified Mandarin Chinese and involves training teachers, coordinating curriculum development, and creating engaging lesson plans. Join us to promote hands-on and play-based learning.
Design, develop, and implement an innovative and developmentally appropriate art curriculum for preschool and elementary students. Integrate multisensorial, hands‑on, and play‑based learning experiences into the curriculum framework.
Coordinate with team to develop age‑appropriate, project‑based and inquiry‑based learning modules that encourage curiosity and critical thinking.
Develop lesson plans, activities, and educational materials that integrate emerging technologies with traditional hands‑on learning.
Present and instruct classes to Chinese program children on‑site or online, using effective teaching skills that can motivate students to learn; provide appropriate instructions that take into consideration the unique abilities or situations of each student; maintain a positive environment by using appropriate classroom management strategies.
Observe students’ class performance to evaluate their learning abilities, strengths, and/or weaknesses; work with students individually to help them overcome specific learning challenges; communicate with parents about their child’s class performance and progress.
Train and mentor teachers, facilitators, and assistants on best practices for implementing the art curriculum. Provide ongoing professional development and workshops to ensure effective curriculum execution.
Partner with local museums, universities, and technology organizations to enhance art learning opportunities.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Art, Design or closely related field.
Two years’ teaching experience with responsibilities of lesson planning and instructional delivery in art, design or closely related subject.
Other special requirement:
Native or near‑native fluency in speaking simplified Mandarin Chinese.
