Job summary

ANGEHEUERT GmbH seeks a Lead Architect & Platform Engineer to build a modern cloud and platform architecture from the ground up. You will shape standards, integration patterns, and technical guidelines while influencing long‑term technology choices.

You will design cloud landing zones, microservices, data layers, and AI services, and establish CI/CD standards, IaC, and secure, compliant architectures. Remote-friendly with essential in-person workshops as needed.

Qualifications

• Completed IT degree or equivalent qualification.
• Multiple years of experience as a Solution, Cloud, or Enterprise Architect in complex IT environments.
• Hands-on programming experience and strong technical understanding.
• Very good knowledge of modern cloud, networks, and identity architectures, ideally Azure.
• Experience with microservices, APIs, CI/CD, IaC, and modern platform architectures.
• Experience in banking, insurance, investment, or comparable financial environments with modern cloud/SaaS environments.
• Excellent English communication and ability to explain complex technical decisions clearly.

Responsibilities

• Develop the target cloud architecture including microservices, data layers, and AI services.
• Design landing zones, networks, identity concepts, and governance structures for the cloud platform.
• Define standards for CI/CD, release strategies, and Infrastructure as Code.

Your tasks as Lead Architect & Platform Engineer

• Architecture: Develop the target cloud architecture as well as microservices, data layers, and AI services.

• Cloud Platform: Design landing zones, networks, identity concepts, and governance structures.

• DevOps: Develop standards for CI/CD, release strategies, and Infrastructure as Code.

• Integration: Define architecture and integration patterns for APIs, events, and batch interfaces.

Your profile

• Education: A completed degree in IT or a comparable qualification provides the foundation for this role.

• Architecture: Several years of experience as a Solution, Cloud, or Enterprise Architect in complex IT environments.

• Hands on: Practical programming experience and a strong technical understanding are essential.

• Cloud: Very good knowledge of modern cloud, network, and identity architectures, ideally complemented by Azure experience.

• Technology: Experience with microservices, APIs, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, and modern platform architectures.

• Industry: Experience in banking, insurance, investment, or a comparable financial environment, combined with experience in modern cloud or SaaS environments.

• Communication: Excellent English skills and the ability to communicate complex technical decisions clearly and effectively.
