Job summary

Bank of America is seeking a lead architect to drive critical HPS/MBSS 2026 initiatives, including Active/Active Cloud and Gateway Modernization. You will own E2E architecture, with deep knowledge of on‑prem and AWS infrastructure, networking security, data protection, and cross‑team collaboration.

The role emphasizes strong communication, documentation of architectural choices, and ability to simplify complex information for multiple audiences. Strong AWS and Azure expertise is required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years financial services industry experience
• 3+ years of experience in integration services programming and Architecture
• 2+ years proven experience in delivery innovated and newer trends in payments / financial networks
• Knowledge of Payments data/object/service models
• Knowledge of HSMs and security models
• Knowledge of network integration with 3rd party networks including ACH, RTP and Card Networks
• Effective Communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to document processes and platform architecture into sustainable documents
• Plan, develop, organize, build and test service and API integration services
• Research, develop and document technical design specifications and test scripts
• Maintain a comprehensive library of technical terminology and documentation
• Strong use of visuals skills, ability to convene points with graphics and illustrations
• Ability to simplify complex information
• Strong attention to detail

Responsibilities

• Lead architect for critical HPS/MBSS 2026 initiatives including Active/Active Cloud and Gateway Modernization
• Role details: E2E Architecture, infrastructure knowledge (On prem and AWS), networking security
• Ensure security of data in transit and at rest, Active/Active solution, strong communication
• Collaborate with teams to align AWS and Azure Cloud capabilities with business goals
