Job summary

A leading architecture firm is seeking a Lead Architect responsible for guiding the architectural team and collaborating with multiple stakeholders. This role involves training Architectural Designers, coordinating technical solutions, and reviewing architectural designs. Candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree in Architecture, relevant licensure, and over 10 years of industry experience, particularly in pharmaceutical and life sciences projects. Strong management skills and proficiency with Autodesk Building Systems Software are essential. This position is located in Raleigh, North Carolina.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in architecture, preferably in pharmaceutical and life sciences.
  • Experience managing teams and executing complex projects.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture and Architectural License required.

Discover your exciting role

The Lead Architect is responsible for working with multiple stakeholders and guide the architectural team during the design/construction process. The Lead Architect will have three main customers: the Client, Discipline Design Leads, and Exyte Management team. Will interface daily primarily with internal stakeholders, including but not limited to: Project Management Team, Architects, Design Leads, QA/QC Manager, and the Architectural Discipline Lead.

Explore your tasks and responsibilities
  • Trains and develops Architectural Designers in all processes/procedures/standards
  • Coordinates, guides, and oversees the team to achieve the correct technical solutions to difficult design and client problems
  • Reviews architectural drawings for completeness, constructability, and coordination
  • Collaborates with design and technical teams while supporting or leading the development of design deliverables from studies to Construction Documents, including drawings and specifications
  • Maintains primary accountability for all architectural designs, sharing design responsibility
  • Mentors Interns and junior members of project teams
  • Participates in the development of office standards and procedures
  • Other duties as assigned
Show your expertise
  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture required
  • Master’s in Architecture preferred
  • Architectural License (AIA) required
  • Nation Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB) Certificate preferred
  • 10+ years of experience
  • 5+ years of experience working on pharmaceutical and life science facilities
  • Experience executing projects utilizing Autodesk Building System Software
  • Experience with Design-Build a plus
  • Experience managing teams utilizing Autodesk Building Systems Software Experience with Design-Build a plus
  • Experience in global teams and/or multi-office project execution is desirable
