Job summary

ERM is seeking a Managing Technical Consultant, Archaeologist to lead multidisciplinary cultural resource projects across the United States. You will mentor teams, manage client relationships, and ensure regulatory compliance while expanding ERM’s footprint in the cultural resources market.

We value seasoned archaeology professionals with consulting experience, strong communication, and the ability to grow business through new opportunities and collaborations across ERM’s nationwide offices.

Qualifications

• Graduate degree in Anthropology, Archaeology, or closely related field plus 8+ years of related paid experience.
• Ability to obtain archaeological and cultural resource permits.
• Experience as primary author on agency‑reviewed technical reports.
• Limited travel within the United States.

Responsibilities

• Oversee multidisciplinary archaeological projects from planning through completion.
• Serve as a trusted technical advisor to clients and regulators.
• Drive business growth by developing new opportunities and strengthening client partnerships.
• Mentor and lead teams of archaeologists and cultural resource professionals.
• Represent ERM with state, federal, and local agencies.
