Job summary

Volunteers of America, Utah is seeking a licensed APRN to conduct psychiatric assessments, evaluate physical health needs, and coordinate referrals with physicians. You will manage medications in collaboration with a psychiatrist and provide a range of treatment, rehabilitation, and support services for individuals with severe mental health disorders.

This role requires leading and participating in treatment planning, documenting thoroughly, providing on-call coverage, and supporting crisis

Qualifications

• Current APRN license in Utah.
• Inpatient psychiatric experience preferred.
• Experience with serious mental illness or substance use disorder preferred.
• Demonstrates sound judgment and professionalism.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to policies.

Responsibilities

• Conduct psychiatric assessments including history, mental status, diagnoses, and risk behaviors.
• Prescribe, monitor, and adjust psychotropic medications with supervision.
• Assess and treat co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders.
• Lead or participate in treatment planning and discharge planning.
• Provide on-call psychiatric coverage and crisis intervention.
• Complete timely documentation and insurance authorizations.
