Job summary

Amazon.com Services LLC in Seattle, WA is seeking a highly experienced science leader in speech and audio processing to apply state-of-the-art research in ASR, voice synthesis, and dubbing. You will lead a team of applied scientists, define roadmaps, drive dialect adaptation at scale, and communicate breakthroughs to senior leadership to maximize customer impact.

This is a high-visibility role shaping multilingual experiences across Prime Video.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of building models for business application experience.
• PhD, or Master's degree and 4+ years of CS, CE, ML or related field experience.
• Experience programming in Java, C++, Python or related language.
• Experience developing and implementing deep learning algorithms, particularly with respect to computer vision algorithms.

Responsibilities

• Apply state-of-the-art research in automatic speech recognition, voice synthesis, speech translation, and prosody modeling to enhance audio across languages.
• Lead the research direction for a team of applied scientists in speech AI and accessibility; define roadmaps and translate breakthroughs to customer impact.
• Communicate roadmaps and research outcomes to senior leadership, aligning with product goals and business impact.
