Job summary

Amazon Leo Space Security is hiring a Senior Applied Scientist to design scalable neurosymbolic systems that integrate graph-based knowledge with LLM agents for security outcomes in satellite infrastructure. You will lead end-to-end science, from research to production deployment, tackling threat detection, triage, and containment at scale.

Qualifications

• 3+ years building ML models for business apps
• PhD or Master's + 6+ years applied research
• Proficient in Java, C++, Python
• Experience with neural DL methods and ML
• Graph algorithms, knowledge graphs, NLP, embedding retrieval
• Design evaluation frameworks with human-in-the-loop or A/B testing
• Experience with modeling tools like R, scikit-learn, Spark MLlib, MxNet, TensorFlow, numpy, scipy
• Quantitative scientific work in security, ML or AI domains

Responsibilities

• Design scalable neurosymbolic systems integrating symbolic reasoning with LLM agents
• Develop RL/risk pipelines (GRPO, PPO, DPO) for security reasoning and detection
• Build behavioral/statistical models to detect threat actor behavior
• Create multi-agent systems for triage, enrichment, containment of security events
• Own end-to-end science lifecycle from research to production deployment
• Publish advances via papers, patents, or open-source contributions
