Job summary

The Ohio State University is seeking an Applied Research Engineer 2 in the Center for Design and Manufacturing Excellence. The role leads industry-led projects focused on industrial cybersecurity and the commercialization of new technology through integrated design and manufacturing approaches.

You will help plan and develop virtual cybersecurity curriculum for manufacturing, OT resilience, CMMC readiness, and engage with industry partners to ensure milestones, deliverables, and budget

Qualifications

2 years experience in a professional research environment, including proposal writing, program outreach, partner engagement, and participant recruitment.
Strong written and verbal communication skills and demonstrated comfort presenting; ability to translate technical information to non-technical audiences.
Experience building/maintaining relationships with external partners, and orchestrating outreach efforts to increase participation in programs/services/initiatives.

Responsibilities

Lead engineer for the Center for Design and Manufacturing Excellence (CDME) and oversee industry-led projects.
Develop virtual cybersecurity curriculum focused on manufacturing, OT resilience, and CMMC readiness.
Coordinate outreach, advertising, communications, and partner engagement to promote programs and initiatives.
