Job summary

Mercy seeks a Lead Applications Developer to design, develop, and maintain enterprise software supporting Mercy's healthcare initiatives. This remote, full-time role focuses on delivering robust applications, debugging complex problems, and implementing system improvements.

You will analyze business requirements, prepare documentation, and train users as needed while collaborating with the Mercy Enterprise Analytics team to ensure scalable solutions.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree in related field, specialized training, or equivalent work experience.
• Experience: Eight (8) years of relevant technical or business work experience.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain applications to solve business problems.
• Analyze complex business problems and translate into automated systems.
• Provide technical expertise in system requirements and governance.
• Develop conversion plans and system implementation steps.
• Prepare system documentation and user training materials.

Primary Function Designs, develops, modifies, debugs and evaluates programs for functional or operational areas Analyzes complex business problems to be solved with automated systems. Provides technical expertise in identifying, evaluating and developing systems and procedures that are cost effective and meet user requirements Analyzes existing programs or formulates logic for new systems, devises logic procedures, prepares flowcharting, performs coding and tests/debugs programs Develops conversion and system implementation plans. Prepares and obtains approval of system and programming documentation. Recommends changes in development, maintenance and system standards Configures system settings and options; plans and executes unit, integration and acceptance testing; and creates specifications for systems to meet business requirements May train users in conversion and implementation of system.
