Job summary

Acclaim Technical Services is seeking a Lead Applications Architect with a current TS/SCI w/ Poly to support our Network Solutions Division in Northern Virginia. The role demands designing enterprise-scale architectures, leading governance, and mentoring a team of engineers to deliver reliable, scalable solutions.

Ideal candidates will have a bachelor’s degree (or 10+ years IC), 10+ years in software engineering, and experience delivering RESTful APIs and cloud deployments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 10+ years IC experience in lieu.
• ISSA/TS clearance required.
• 10+ years software engineering with 5+ years designing enterprise-scale architectures.
• Led architecture governance for 2+ years and mentored engineers.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and governance of enterprise-scale architectures.
• Develop and govern RESTful API architectures (20+ APIs).
• Mentor engineers and ensure SLA targets are met.
• Lead cloud production solutions and data platforms.

Required Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree (or 10+ years IC experience in lieu)
• ISSA/TS
• Minimum 10 years software engineering, incl. 5 years designing enterprise-scale app architectures; led 3+ cloud production solutions
• Designed/governed 20+ RESTful APIs
• Led architecture governance ≥2 years, mentored ≥5 engineers
• Delivered systems meeting SLA targets (e.g., uptime, performance testing).
