Job summary

PUMA seeks a Lead Application Management to oversee cross-functional operations for wholesale, retail, and eCommerce, with a focus on Warehouse Management Systems and customer connectivity.

You will own SAP batch job governance, drive process standardization, monitor KPIs, and coordinate with AMS partners, IT teams and external logistics providers to ensure stable, compliant system operations across global warehouses.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a comparable qualification.
  • Several years of experience in cross-functional SAP modules (SD, MM, LE) ideally in S/4HANA.
  • Very good knowledge of business processes and technology in wholesale, retail, and e‑Commerce.
  • Outstanding analytical and technical skills with focus on ERP systems.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • High level of ownership and accountability.
  • Analytical thinking and structured working style.
  • Team-oriented mindset with excellent stakeholder management abilities.
  • Fluent English is mandatory; German or other regional languages are a strong asset.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the central coordination point between business stakeholders, application teams, technical experts, and external service providers.
  • Drive operational excellence through process standardization, KPI monitoring, automation opportunities, and continuous service improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with IT governance, security requirements, and audit standards while supporting releases and peak periods.
  • Own SAP batch job scheduling governance across ERP modules and manage dependencies and timing windows.
  • Collaborate with Application Management, SAP Basis, Development and Business Teams for stable operations.
  • Own SAP integrations with Warehouse Management Systems and monitor data quality and stability.
  • Lead operational management of B2B EDI connections and onboarding of new customer connections.

YOUR MISSION

As a Lead Application Management you are responsible for managing, coordinating and developing Cross-Functional Operations as well Transactional process integrations to service PUMA’s wholesale, retail, and eCommerce channels with focus on Warehouse Management Systems and Customer Connectivity.

Cross-Functional Operations & Service Excellence
  • Act as the central coordination point between business stakeholders, application teams, technical experts, and external service providers across all assigned operational domains
  • Drive operational excellence through process standardization, KPI monitoring, automation opportunities, and continuous service improvements
  • Ensure compliance with IT governance, security requirements, and audit standards while supporting releases, peak business periods, and operational readiness activities.
Enterprise Batch Job Management
  • Own the governance and coordination of SAP batch job scheduling across ERP modules, ensuring aligned execution of cross-functional business processes
  • Manage process dependencies, execution sequences, and critical timing windows while mitigating locking conflicts, performance bottlenecks, and risks caused by parallel processing
  • Collaborate with Application Management, SAP Basis, Development, and Business Teams to ensure stable, compliant, and efficient system operations.
Warehouse & Logistics Connectivity
  • Own the operational support and continuous improvement of SAP integrations with third-party Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), ensuring stable execution of inbound, outbound, inventory, and master data processes
  • Monitor and optimize interface performance, data quality, and system stability
  • Coordinate incidents, enhancements, testing activities, and onboarding of new warehouses in close collaboration with Process Managers, Integration Experts, AMS partners, Test Managers and external logistics providers.
B2B Customer Connectivity
  • Lead the operational management of customer EDI connections, ensuring reliable B2B integration with PUMA’s wholesale customers and trading partners
  • Coordinate onboarding of new customer connections and implementation of new message types and business scenarios for existing customers
  • Drive issue resolution, process standardization, and continuous improvement across PUMA’s global EDI landscape
  • Develop and Drive new technical concepts (e.g. API Integrations) for Customer Connectivity (EDI) and align with all stakeholders.
YOUR TALENT
