Job summary

Georgia State University is seeking an experienced Application Developer, Lead in the IIT Division to drive development of enterprise applications across the university. You will lead multi-tenant workflow apps, vendor integrations, and cloud services, while ensuring reliability, security and scalability.

Work spans Node.js, Angular, React, TypeScript, JavaScript, SQL, AWS, and CI/CD tooling, with mentorship and engineering leadership across teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and three years of related experience.
• Solid understanding of web development fundamentals (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
• Experience with AWS cloud services (Lambda, EC2, ECS, S3, API Gateway, RDS).
• Experience with modern web technologies: Node.js, Angular, React, TypeScript, JavaScript.

Responsibilities

• Mentor, instruct, and support team members in best practices and processes.
• Respond to customer reports and troubleshoot issues.
• Develop, test, and debug software patches and fixes.
• Define system scope and objectives through research and fact-finding.
• Translate requirements into detailed technical specifications.
• Design, code, test, and document software applications.
• Identify resources and develop project plans and schedules.
• Communicate progress in regular management/customer meetings.
