Job summary

Thomson Reuters is seeking a Lead Software Engineer with 10+ years of experience to design, build, and operate scalable enterprise software. You will lead external and internal APIs, cloud-native services, and microservices architectures while collaborating with product, security, and operations teams.

The role emphasizes secure coding, observability, and high availability. You will mentor engineers, participate in architecture reviews, and drive modern DevOps practices across the team.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of professional software development experience in C#, .NET, API development, and distributed systems.
• Experience designing, developing, and supporting REST APIs consumed by customers and internal apps.
• Strong background in microservices, cloud-native architectures, and devops practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain external and internal RESTful APIs, microservices, and backend platforms using C#, .NET, ASP.NET Core, and cloud-native patterns.
• Lead the design and implementation of microservice-based architectures, including API contracts, observability, resiliency, and performance optimization.
• Design and implement cloud-native solutions with containerization, orchestration, automation, monitoring, and CI/CD practices.
• Develop modern web applications using Angular, TypeScript, HTML, CSS and contemporary front-end frameworks.
• Drive engineering excellence through code quality standards, testing, CI/CD, and Agile delivery.
