Job summary

The United States Department of Justice, Antitrust Division, seeks experienced trial lawyers to support and lead significant antitrust litigation matters of national importance. The incumbents will have immediate involvement in high-stakes civil and criminal matters.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizenship is required.
• J.D. or equivalent degree with active bar membership in good standing; at least four years post-J.D. experience for GS-15.
• Experience in federal antitrust, white-collar or general federal litigation.
• Excellent writing, analytical and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop litigation strategy and advise teams on litigation posture.
• Draft complaints in merger challenges and civil non-merger challenges.
• Draft indictments and other court filings.
• Represent the United States in court hearings and at trial.
• Conduct party, third-party and expert discovery (including depositions).
• Lead trial teams and coordinate across teams.
