Job summary

The Office of the Attorney General in Washington, DC, seeks an experienced litigation attorney for the Antitrust and Nonprofit Enforcement Section of the Public Advocacy Division.

The attorney will litigate complex civil cases under federal and District antitrust laws, supervise investigations, coordinate nationwide matters, and mentor junior attorneys. In-person work with limited telework is available; DC residency is required for initial appointment.

Qualifications

• The incumbent must have a law degree and be a member of the District of Columbia Bar or eligible for waiver into bar.
• At least 10 years of relevant specialized experience, including at least 1 year at an equivalent level to LA‑14.
• Strong civil litigation experience, familiarity with federal antitrust practice, strong legal research and writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Litigate complex civil cases involving violations of District and federal antitrust laws at all phases of litigation.
• Manage nationwide and local litigation to promote the District’s participation in antitrust cases.
• Participate in complex multi‑state investigations, negotiations, and litigation.
