Job summary

Heaviside Industries is seeking a senior RF engineer to own antenna and aperture design for precision munitions. You will drive RF integration, perform full‑wave simulations, and lead measurement campaigns from concept through production across constrained airframes.

The role requires deep RF/microwave hardware experience, advanced EM analysis in HFSS/CST, and hands‑on ability with prototypes, test ranges, and production readiness in a fast, build‑first environment.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering; MS/PhD in electromagnetics preferred.
• 8+ years RF/microwave hardware experience with antenna/aperture specialization.
• Design ownership across the aperture layer: element/array design, conformal antennas and radome effects.
• Anti‑jam/CRPA or GNSS antenna experience preferred, incl. multi‑element apertures.
• Expert full‑wave EM simulation in HFSS or CST with measurement correlation (anechoic chamber, near‑field, VNA).
• Hands‑on RF chain experience: LNAs, filters, mixers, PA, frequency conversion, board‑level RF design.

Responsibilities

• Own the antenna and aperture layer from design to integration, including radome effects.
• Lead RF integration: antenna placement, EMI/EMC, co‑site interference on a small airframe.
• Take apertures from concept to full‑wave simulation, prototype, testing, and transition to production.
• Define link budgets, gain/noise budgets, and platform‑level frequency plans.
• Collaborate across RF chain, bench, and chamber tests to meet schedules.
• Build and stand up aperture measurement infrastructure and production test methods.
• Support production and fielded RF systems, drive yield and design integrity.
