UofL Health in Louisville, KY is seeking an anesthesia technician to assist in acquiring, preparing, and applying anesthesia equipment and supplies for safe administration of anesthesia. You will support routine and complex surgical and non-surgical cases by maintaining monitoring devices, delivery systems, medicines, and supplies before, during, and after anesthesia.

Qualifications

• Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities critical to this role: sterile technique, anesthesia equipment knowledge, troubleshooting, stocking and maintaining carts, patient care.
• Must be detail oriented, able to problem-solve, and maintain confidentiality.

Responsabilités

• Directs ordering anesthesia supplies and prepares anesthesia equipment and supplies for the operating rooms.
• Assists in maintaining equipment in proper working order, cleans and returns cleaned equipment to its proper place and stocks surgical rooms.
• Assists anesthesia provider and promptly responds to page for anesthesia turnover between cases.
• Responds to alarm systems to assist with trouble shooting of equipment.
• Assists with patient pickup and blood product pickup and runs ABG’s / blood glucose under the direction of an anesthesia provider.
• Maintains compliance with all company policies and HIPAA requirements.
