Job summary

Speechify is seeking a hands-on Team Lead for its remote, distributed engineering team. You will own core features end to end—from concept through release—writing and reviewing code and guiding the technical direction with the design and product teams.

Responsibilities

• Own major features end to end, working closely with our design team — from the decision through to release.
• Own, maintain, and improve reliability metrics for key features
• Review pull requests and give constructive feedback
• Unblock the team: identify blockers and address them
• Ensure changes become the standard across the team
• Keep shared components well-documented and maintainable
• Guide the team on when to adopt new processes
• Reduce manual steps to speed up releases
• Address repeated problems by changing underlying setups
• Shift verification left: increase automation where possible
