Job summary

Vasion is seeking a Lead Analytics Engineer to architect and govern our data platform, from ingestion to semantic layer feeding reporting. You will drive analytics initiatives, mentor 1–2 engineers, and lead AI-powered analytics initiatives while influencing data governance and quality.

You will own the analytics roadmap, collaborate with the BI Manager and stakeholders, and guide best practices for data modeling, testing, and documentation within a high-ownership role.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in analytics engineering or data engineering.
• Expert SQL and data modeling skills.
• Deep hands-on dbt in production.
• Strong Snowflake expertise and ELT experience.
• Experience deploying AI tools in data stack.
• Excellent stakeholder communication.
• Python proficiency for pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Architect Snowflake data warehouse design and cost management.
• Maintain ELT pipelines with Airbyte Cloud and Fivetran.
• Design semantic layer and metrics for AI agents and BI.
• Lead dbt models, tests, and docs in prod.
• Own analytics roadmap and prioritize work.
• Mentor 1–2 Analytics Engineers.
• Prototype AI-assisted tooling and plan integration.
• Communicate status and risks to stakeholders.
