Job summary

Vizient, Inc. is seeking an experienced analytics leader in Edina, MN to drive high-impact, integrated analytics initiatives for Vizient and its clients.

You will leverage Vizient PA, the Vizient CDB, and other data assets to deliver actionable recommendations that improve healthcare delivery, outcomes, and cost performance. The role requires mentoring analysts, guiding analytic design, and presenting insights to executive audiences with strong data storytelling and visualization skills.

Qualifications

  • Relevant degree preferred.
  • 7 or more years of relevant experience required.
  • Demonstrated expertise integrating and analyzing complex data across multiple analytics tools.
  • Proven expertise in clinical and supply-based analytics within healthcare environments required.
  • Strong working knowledge of Vizient Procedural Analytics (PA) and Vizient Clinical Data Base (CDB) highly preferred.
  • Proficiency with SQL, advanced Excel, and data visualization and reporting tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate complex analytical concepts and findings into clear visualizations and executive-ready presentations.
  • Strong understanding of data storytelling, visual design, and dashboard development.

Responsibilities

  • Lead advanced, customized analyses linking PA, CDB, and other data to create actionable insights.
  • Analyze multi-source data to identify trends, opportunities and performance implications for strategy.
  • Serve as SME in clinical and supply analytics guiding design, benchmarking, and interpretation.
  • Develop clear data visualizations and executive-ready reporting materials.
  • Design and maintain dashboards, infographics, and presentations for client decisions.
  • Apply storytelling and visual design to communicate findings to executives, ops, and clinicians.
  • Present insights to leadership and clients, guiding data-driven strategies.
  • Lead analytics projects and client engagements with scope, timelines, and risk management.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to strengthen analytics methodologies and data capabilities.
  • Mentor analysts and review deliverables to improve dashboards and reporting experiences.

You will deliver advanced analyses, develop compelling data visualizations and executive-ready reporting, translate findings into meaningful insights, and guide clients and leadership in data-driven decision-making to improve healthcare delivery, outcomes, and cost performance.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead advanced, customized analyses leveraging Vizient Procedural Analytics (PA), Vizient Clinical Data Base (CDB), and other data assets to integrate clinical, supply, operational, and financial insights.
  • Analyze complex, multi-source data to identify trends, opportunities, performance implications, and actionable insights that support strategic decision-making.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in clinical and supply-based analytics, guiding analytic design, benchmarking, interpretation, and recommendations.
  • Develop clear, compelling data visualizations and executive-ready reporting materials that translate complex analyses into actionable insights.
  • Design and maintain dashboards, charts, infographics, presentations, and other visual assets that simplify complex data and support proactive insight generation and client decision-making.
  • Apply data storytelling and visual design principles to communicate analytical findings through concise, compelling narratives tailored to executive, operational, and clinical audiences.
  • Present insights and recommendations to leadership and clients, providing guidance on data-driven strategies and opportunities.
  • Lead complex analytics projects and client engagements, including requirements gathering, expectation management, timelines, quality standards, and risk escalation.
  • Partner with cross-functional data, product, and technology teams to strengthen analytic methodologies, visualization standards, and data capabilities.
  • Serve as a team resource for analytics, data visualization, and insight communication, leveraging modern tools and storytelling techniques to improve the impact and adoption of analytical findings.
  • Mentor and coach analysts, provide technical review of deliverables, and identify opportunities to advance analytics, dashboard design, visualization approaches, and user-centered reporting experiences.

  • Experience presenting analytical insights and recommendations to senior and executive-level audiences.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality work within established timelines.
Estimated Hiring Range:

At Vizient, we consider skills, experience, and organizational needs in our compensation approach. Geographic factors may adjust the range estimate and hires typically fall below the top range. Compensation decisions are tailored to individual circumstances. The current salary range for this role is $102,400.00 to $179,000.00.

This position is also incentive eligible.
