Job summary

Catalent Pharma Solutions in San Diego, CA, seeks a Senior Scientist, Analytical Development, Manager to lead analytical method development for small molecules and peptides. You will guide projects, supervise staff, and ensure compliance and scientific rigor.

Responsibilities include developing stability-indicating methods, validating methods with QA/QC, and transferring methods to other sites, while maintaining clear records and client communications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a physical, chemical, biological, or pharmaceutical science required.
• Advanced degree levels with relevant years of analytical development experience.
• Demonstrated leadership experience preferred or via Catalent programs.

Responsibilities

• Develop stability-indicating methods for peptide and small molecule APIs and intermediates.
• Perform and train others on analytical techniques (HPLC/UPLC, UV/Vis, GC, DSC, TGA, PSD, PXRD, SEM).
• Troubleshoot, optimize, and transfer analytical methods across sites.

Education

Bachelor's degree in physical/chemical/biological/pharmaceutical science

Master's degree in analytical development

Doctorate in analytical development
