Job summary

PURIS is seeking a Senior Analytical Chemist at our Dawson, Minnesota facility to lead analytical strategy ensuring safe, high-quality foods. You will guide a team of Quality Technicians, maintain PCQI daily batch reviews, and harmonize release practices across sites.

You will oversee lab operations, support regulatory inquiries, manage costs, and coordinate third-party testing while promoting a culture of continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Microbiology, Quality Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years Production, Laboratory, or Food Safety Management experience.
• PCQI/HACCP, SQF certified.
• Strong analytical, investigative and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to lead FSQR into manufacturing activities.

Responsibilities

• Owns co-man & Plant B product release and ensures harmonization with co-man, Plant B and enterprise release practices, including LIMS and ERP integration.
• Serves as a backup for product release at Dawson.
• Ensure accuracy and timeliness of Food Safety and Quality reporting, product test results, release information, and PCQI batch review.
• New product and commercialization scale up.
