Job summary

Nippon Sanso Matheson seeks an experienced Analytical Method Development Chemist to lead method development for electronics/gas divisions. You will develop and implement methods for ultra-trace metals and gas phase analysis, and lead analytical programs in a fast-paced lab environment.

The role includes mentoring analytical chemists, ensuring GLP and safety standards, and collaborating with partners for new product development.

Qualifications

• BS in Chemistry or related field with 10+ years of analytical/method development experience or an MS/PhD with 5+ years.
• Ability to develop/test methods using multiple instruments listed under Knowledge and Skills.
• Experience combining instruments to lower detection limits or increase selectivity.
• Experience learning new techniques and solving complex analytical problems.
• Experience working under pressure and managing multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Develop new analytical methods for specialty and electronic gas mixtures.
• Combine techniques to improve sensitivity and selectivity.
• Ensure methods meet customer, safety and industry standards.
• Provide customer-facing support for methods and data.
• Lead cross-functional discussions on test method performance and requirements.
• Train and certify lab staff to perform methods per requirements.
• Support lab management in implementing best lab practices for testing.
