Job description

Optomi, in partnership with a leading national retail organization, is seeking a Lead Analyst, Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery to own and advance the organization’s enterprise BCDR program within the Governance, Risk, and Compliance organization.

This individual will define how the organization prepares for, prioritizes, and recovers from disruptions across its business and technology operations. The Lead Analyst will lead enterprise Business Impact Analysis initiatives, identify critical business processes, translate business priorities into application tiers and recovery requirements, and ensure continuity and recovery capabilities are clearly documented and validated through testing.

This is a program governance and leadership position—not a hands‑on operational recovery role. The Lead Analyst will provide enterprise oversight to ensure required recovery capabilities are aligned with business priorities, supported by effective plans, and proven through testing and continuous improvement.

The ideal candidate brings deep BCDR expertise, strong program ownership, and the ability to influence stakeholders across business, application, infrastructure, risk, and executive leadership teams.

Job Must Haves:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, Risk Management, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience focused on Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery.
  • Experience supporting, governing, or owning an enterprise-scale BCDR program.
  • Strong hands‑on experience leading Business Impact Analysis initiatives.
  • Demonstrated experience establishing RTOs and RPOs and translating them into application tiers and recovery requirements.
  • Experience creating, reviewing, and governing Business Continuity Plans and Disaster Recovery Plans.
  • Experience leading both tabletop exercises and technical failover testing.
  • Ability to validate the recovery of end‑to‑end business processes across multiple systems and teams.
  • Experience partnering across business operations, application development, infrastructure, cybersecurity, risk, and leadership teams.
  • Experience supporting hybrid environments that include both on‑premises and cloud‑based technologies.
  • Strong program‑management skills, including roadmap development, milestone tracking, dependency management, and remediation oversight.
  • Experience developing executive‑level reporting and communicating risk, resilience, and recovery topics to senior leadership.
