Job summary

Southwest Research Institute (SwRI) seeks a Lead Engineer/Principal Engineer for power supply circuit design and analog development in aviation-oriented embedded systems. You will spearhead hardware designs, mentor junior staff, and ensure MIL-SPEC compliance across critical aerospace projects.

Qualifications include a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering, 8+ years in avionics hardware design, and leadership experience; a Master's is preferred and a valid driver's license is required.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (Master's preferred).
• 8 years of embedded hardware design and test experience for avionics-grade power supplies and analog circuits.
• Experience leading hardware design and development teams for embedded systems.
• Valid/clear driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Lead hardware designs to ensure all hardware/system requirements are met.
• Serves as analog and power supply circuit SME. Verifies all architectural requirements are satisfied.
• Leads/mentors junior engineering staff in the development of hardware/analog designs that satisfy approved architecture for system.
• Leads junior engineering staff in the development and testing of embedded avionics hardware on MIL-SPEC flight-worthy hardware.
• Travel to customer sites to support final integration testing in customer System Integration Labs and/or Fielded System/Aircraft.
