Job summary

Mather is seeking a dynamic Manager, Community Ambassador Programs to design and scale an innovative model that empowers adults 55+ to serve as volunteers, peer leaders, and community connectors. The role focuses on building sustainable pathways and expanding partnerships across Chicago’s communities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years experience managing volunteers or programs.
• Exceptional communication and facilitation skills.
• Experience working with older adults.
• Ability to build scalable programs
• Ability to travel throughout Chicagoland

Responsibilities

• Design and pilot a model connecting older adults to contributing opportunities, from greeter to ambassador roles.
• Develop ambassador-led, peer-led cohort models and scalable formats.
• Launch pilots and refine for scalability; expand peer-led delivery.
• Recruit, train, and deploy volunteers across sites and neighborhoods; ensure positive volunteer experience.
