Job summary

ExxonMobil’s Houston Campus seeks an Alkylation Expert Engineer to apply process engineering and leadership skills to optimize fuels alkylation technologies. The role involves collaborating across sites to deploy safe, reliable alkylation solutions.

You will support manufacturing sites with troubleshooting, incident investigations, and long-term optimization, while mentoring colleagues and traveling to project locations as needed.

Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge of fuels alkylation process technology including Sulfuric Acid and HF Alkylation operations.
• Strong manufacturing and process engineering experience supporting operating facilities.
• Influences outcomes without formal authority and communicates effectively with internal and external partners.
• Leader and self-starter who takes initiative in identifying, developing, and communicating technical solutions.
• Demonstrates strong business acumen and risk management judgment.

Responsibilities

• Apply personnel and process safety principles within ExxonMobil facilities.
• Maintain and build organizational expertise in fuels alkylation technology including Sulfuric Acid and HF Alkylation processes.
• Provide technology-specific support to manufacturing sites including troubleshooting and root cause assessments.
• Lead or participate in multidisciplinary teams to solve complex problems in existing assets or new technologies.
• Develop and deploy alkylation technologies and ensure readiness of new applications.
• Support complex project implementation with process engineering input and risk analysis.
• Collaborate with business development, research, and manufacturing to deliver solutions.
• Identify cross-functional improvement opportunities and improve tools and processes.
• Network with industry associations and ExxonMobil sites to share knowledge.
